According to ground sources and local residents, fighting broke out today (March 14) between the TNLA and the MNDAA—both members of the Three Brotherhood Alliance—in Kutkai, northern Shan State, a town seized by the Ta'ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) during Operation 1027.
Ground sources stated that the Kokang army (MNDAA), which had previously reinforced its strength near the TNLA garrison units in Kutkai, launched an offensive today.
