It is reported that the military council intentionally carried out an aerial bombardment of Kyaung Chaung, a residential village in Paletwa Township, killing seven innocent civilians, including children, and wounding four others.

On March 26 at approximately 4:05 p.m., the military council used two jet fighters to launch three bombing runs and two rocket attacks on Kyaung Chaung village. Locals confirmed that the attack was unprovoked, as no fighting was occurring near the village at the time.
