On 23 March 2026, in Sa Ne town (Kyaukpyu township, Kyaukpyu district, Rakhine state), the Myanmar military troops from Taung Maw Oo naval base conducted drone strikes and dropped four bombs with four suicide drones at the Zay Pine area around 12 pm for the first day. 4 civilians (a 75-year-old woman, a 21-year-old man, a 13-year-old boy and a 29-year-old woman) were injured and five shops and houses were destroyed.
