On 22 March 2026, unidentified warplanes, likely American or Israeli (likely as part of the ongoing US-Iran conflict) conducted four consecutive airstrikes at a PMF position, including the medical unit of the Island Operations Command in Jurf Al Nasr district (Babil), causing injury to 4 PMF member and material damage at the targeted site. Additional strikes hit other PMF positions in the area, which were unoccupied, resulting in no further casualties. There were no fatalities.
