On 22 March 2026, Hezbollah launched multiple attacks against Israeli forces in the eastern sector of Khiyam (Marjayoun, Al Nabatieh), including rocket barrages targeting concentrations of Israeli vehicles and personnel. At 3:30 PM local time, Hezbollah fired suicide drones against Israeli soldiers east of the town. At 7:50 PM, the group fired an additional rocket barrage targeting Israeli troops near the Khiyam Detention Center. According to witnesses cited by media outlets, Israeli forces had taken control of the southern and eastern neighborhoods and were advancing toward the northern area. The IDF stated that one soldier was injured after a Hezbollah drone impacted near Israeli forces. Fatalities unknown.
