On 27 March 2026, afternoon, Israeli and U.S. forces attacked a Khouzestan Steel Company (KSC) (Ahvaz, Khuzestan), with six to seven strong explosions (coded as air/drone strikes by default), leading to the killings of an unknown number of civilians (likely production workers). The company's storage sheds were attacked during the strike, and many ambulances were deployed to the area. The company uses 'sealed Co-60 and Cs-137 radioactive sources for gauging' and the IAEA stated that 'there was no off-site radiation release.'
