Cluster Bomb / Submunition
Cluster Bomb / Submunition event in Israel on Fri 27th March 2026
27th March 2026
On 27 March 2026, Iranian forces (coded as IRGC by default) fired a small number of ballistic missiles toward central Israel, with at least one carrying a cluster bomb warhead. As a result of Iranian missile fire, a hotel in Herzliya (Tel Aviv) sustained significant damage, though it is unclear if the damage was caused by cluster bomb munitions or shrapnel from an intercepted missile. No casualties occurred. Shrapnel and cluster munitions impacted additional locations in and near Herzliya but did not cause casualties or major damages.
