UAV event in Iran, Islamic Republic of on Fri 27th March 2026

On 27 March 2026, morning, Israeli forces targeted the Mobarekeh Steel Company south of Mobarekeh (Mobarakeh, Isfahan), causing explosions and tremors (coded as air/drone strikes by default), killing 1 and wounding 2 civilians with two to fifteen separate explosions (coded as air/drone strikes by default). The electrical sub-station and alloy steel production line were targeted and damaged. It is suspected that the company is partially owned by the IRGC. The United States sanctioned Mobarakeh Steel Company in 2018 for providing material support to an IRGC-affiliated organization. Israeli forces were coded as the main actor based on reporting that Israeli strikes focus on western and central Iran, while US operations are concentrated in the south. Israel and the United States launched a joint operation codenamed 'Roaring Lion' by Israel and 'Epic Fury' by the United States on 28 February 2026.
