Air Delivered event in Iran, Islamic Republic of on Thu 26th March 2026

On 26 March 2026, night and morning, Israeli air forces attacked multiple areas and struck multiple targets in Isfahan city, including air defense positions, 8th Shekari military base, the Isfahan University of Technology, 2 Justice Department buildings, a building on Bahonar Street, and residential areas across Sepahan, Khaneh Isfahan, Shahr, Haftoon, and Valiasr micro districts. Explosions were heard in the area. On several occasions, air defense was activated in the area of Qaleshwar, later that spot was targeted as well. Israeli forces were coded as the main actor based on reporting that Israeli strikes focus on western and central Iran, while US operations are concentrated in the south. Israel and the United States launched a joint operation codenamed 'Roaring Lion' by Israel and 'Epic Fury' by the United States on 28 February 2026. Overall casualties unknown but many injured civilians reported. Eyewitnesses suspected that 'there might be fatalities.' Those claims however, were not yet verified. At least 1 residential building was destroyed. Local sources also suspected that at least 1 strike was a targeted assassination attempt on an unidentified government official.
