UAV event in Cobasna area, Moldova, Republic of on Tue 31st March 2026

Another unmanned aerial vehicle has flown illegally over the airspace of the Republic of Moldova!

✔️The Air Operations Service of the National Army informs that at 09:05, it received a notification from the air defense structures of Ukraine about the unauthorized overflight of the airspace of the Republic of Moldova, on the Transnistrian segment, by an unmanned aerial vehicle.

✔️According to the data provided, the Shahed drone crossed the state border from the direction of the Podolsk settlement, Odessa region (Ukraine), heading towards the Cobasna settlement, Ribnita district, (Republic of Moldova). At 9:13 the drone left the national territory crossing the state border from the direction of Malyi Molochis, Ribnita district, towards Shershentsi, Odessa region, moving north.

The aircraft operated at an altitude of up to 500m.

✔️The National Army's surveillance systems continue to permanently monitor the airspace of the Republic of Moldova. At the same time, the institution cooperates with national authorities and specialists from neighboring countries to ensure the safety of citizens.

‼️We urge citizens to remain calm and only obtain information from official sources.

‼️In the event of observing suspicious aircraft, citizens are asked not to approach them, not to touch or move them, to note their location and to avoid using the phone nearby, as they may contain explosive elements sensitive to radio waves.
