On 25 March 2026, US and Israeli warplanes (coded as MFOUS as part of the ongoing US-Iran conflict) conducted airstrikes targeting a joint Iraqi army-Popular Mobilization Forces 45th Brigade (Kataib Hezbollah) Al Mashari' checkpoint on the Akashat road (coded as Akashat city, Al Anbar). After the strike, helicopters flew at very low altitude over several army and PMF positions west of Ramadi city toward the Syrian border strip. Casualties unknown.
