On 15 March 2026, Afghan military forces launched a quadcopter drone that crashed near the Wana Scouts (coded as frontier corps) camp and landing strip in Wana city (South Waziristan, KPK). Afghan officials claimed the attack as a retaliatory strike following Pakistani air strikes inside Afghanistan. There were no casualties.
