On 20 March 2026, near Wet Yu village (coded as Myebon) (Myebon township, Mrauk-U district, Rakhine state), a 68-year-old man stepped on a landmine planted by an unidentified armed group near a former Myanmar military camp at about 12 pm while collecting wood with his grandson. He was killed on the spot. 1 fatality.
