On 18 March 2026, in Mohnyin township (Mohnyin district, Kachin state), the Myanmar military conducted airstrikes and dropped bombs and fired rockets at the Nam Maw Chee area, which was controlled by the Kachin Independence Army (KIO/KIA) Brigade - 8 Battalion - 38, with two fighter jets that came from Tada-U airbase from 11 am to 12 pm. Casualties unknown.
