On 18 March 2026, in Doe Taung village (coded as Kyaukpyu) (Kyaukpyu township, Kyaukpyu district, Rakhine state), the Myanmar military launched drone strikes by dropping three bombs on the village using three suicide drones at around 11 am, damaging two houses and killing a pig. Later that day, the military conducted airstrikes by dropping two bombs on the village using a fighter jet at around 6 pm. A 60-year-old man from Chaung Myaung village, who had been displaced in Doe Taung village, was killed by the airstrikes. The military navy also fired three artillery rounds into the village between 6:20 pm and 6:25 pm. 1 fatality.
