On 16 May 2021, Israeli warplanes targeted the house and office of the leader of Hamas in the Gaza Strip, Yahya Sinwar, with airstrikes. His house is located in Khan Yunis and his office is located in Gaza City (Gaza Strip, Palestine). Airstrikes also targeted his brother, Muhammad Sinwar, who is also a Hamas member. Both sites had been evacuated. No casualties occurred.
