On 16 March 2026, an unidentified military forces, likely American or Israeli (likely as part of the ongoing US-Iran conflict) conducted two strikes targeting fuel tanks at the Jaber bin Hayyan facility near Badush Dam in Badush district (Ninewa), wounding three members of the PMF's 21st Brigade and causing a fire in a fuel tank. There were no fatalities.
