On 14 March 2026, unidentified drones, likely American or Israeli (likely as part of the ongoing US-Iran conflict) carried out multiple strikes on positions of the PMF 52nd Brigade in and around Tuz Khurma and near Amerli (Salah Al Din), hitting several bases, including the headquarters of the brigade's 1st Battalion and a reported weapons cache, which injured four PMF members. The attacks targeted at least four PMF sites across eastern and northern Tuz Khurmatu, causing material damage. There were no fatalities.
