On 19 March 2026, Iranian forces (coded as IRGC by default) fired ballistic missiles at Haifa, claiming to target the Bazan oil refinery in the city. Two direct impacts occurred at the oil refinery, sparking fires and causing damage. No casualties occurred. The IDF stated that the impacts were caused by falling shrapnel from interceptions, not from cluster bomb munitions or direct missile hits. Other impacts in the area of Haifa caused power outages in the area.
