On 18 March 2026, morning, U.S. and/ or Israeli forces carried out an airstrike on the Lar Justice Building in Lar (Larestan, Fars) several times. According to local officials, 14 people were killed, including a lawyer, two judges, two judicial workers, and six clients, and 50 others were injured. The prosecutor and the head of the Justice Department are in critical condition. A Red Crescent ambulance was also struck when the relief forces thay were carrying humanitarian aid. Israel and the United States launched this joint operation, codenamed 'Roaring Lion' by Israel and 'Epic Fury' by the United States Department of Defense on 28 February 2026. Coded as 14 fatalities.
