On 19 March 2026, an Islamic Resistance rocket reportedly penetrated US air defenses at Baghdad International Airport (Baghdad) and struck inside the American base building there. Some of the base guards may have been injured. A medevac aircraft landed inside the base to evacuate those injured. Casualties unknown.
