Administrator Aung Kyaw of Htan Ta Pin Village, who was forcibly arresting youths and handing them over to the military in Tatkon Township, Naypyidaw, was shot and killed, an official from the Beikthano People's Defense Army (General Staff) told Khit Thit Media.

On March 25, shortly after 9:00 AM, comrades from the Beikthano People's Defense Army (General Staff) entered Htan Ta Pin Village near the 229-mile post of the Yangon-Mandalay Expressway in Tatkon Township to arrest Administrator Aung Kyaw. Thinking the arriving personnel were Junta soldiers, he arrogantly shouted, "I am the administrator!" He was subsequently shot and died on the spot.
