In Chaung-U Township, Sagaing Division, an attack on a terrorist military column heading out to deliver supplies resulted in nine military deaths and the capture of one policeman alive, an official from the Burma Liberation Democratic Front (BLDF) told Khit Thit Media.

On March 20, at approximately 7:00 AM, revolutionary forces used directional mines to attack a terrorist military column of about 200 personnel traveling from Chaung-U town to deliver supplies to the Kin Mun Taw Pyu Saw Htee village.

Following that attack, on March 22 around 11:00 AM, further clashes broke out while the military column was looting civilian property and burning homes in Shan Htoo Village, Chaung-U Township.
