On March 22, around 3:00 PM, a convoy consisting of a Light Truck, a Surf, and a six-wheel vehicle carrying soldiers, police, and Pyu Saw Htee members traveling from the Monywa-Monyway toll gate to Taw Pu Pyu Saw Htee village for a football match was ambushed by revolutionary forces near the Taw Pu village sign on the Monywa-Chaung-U road.

During the attack, three soldiers were killed and eight others were injured. Following the operation, the revolutionary comrades were able to withdraw without casualties.
