We are talking about residents of the Kyiv region who were engaged in the sale of trophy weapons, ammunition and explosives. In particular, grenades of various types, TNT checkers, cartridges.

The Department of Strategic Investigations of the National Police of Ukraine is carrying out comprehensive measures to block the channels of illegal supply of trophy weapons from the areas of hostilities to the peaceful territory of the state. Getting illegal weapons into the civilian environment poses serious risks as it can be used to commit crimes.

It is within the framework of comprehensive measures that the operatives of the Department of Strategic Investigations in Kyiv of the National Police together with the SBU officers in the city of Kyiv. Kyiv and Kyiv region have identified persons involved in the sale of trophy weapons, as well as sources of its origin. In addition, law enforcement officers documented several facts of sale of more than 90 grenades of various types and fervors to them.

During the relevant measures to detain sellers of illegal weapons, law enforcement officers seized:

- 6 equipped shops with caliber 5.45,

- almost 500 rounds of various calibers;

- TNT bombs with a total weight of 600 g,

- pistol and components for weapons,

- 2 000 euros, 5 600 dollars and 137 000 UAH.

Currently, the 40-year-old detainee and his 49-year-old accomplice investigators of the investigative department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Kyiv region announced suspicion under Part 1 of Art. 263 (Illegal handling of weapons, ammunition or explosives) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

The sanction of the incriminated article provides for a sentence of up to seven years in prison.

Procedural guidance in criminal proceedings is carried out by the Bila Tserkva Specialized Prosecutor's Office in the field of defense of the Central Region.
