A weapon and large quantities of drugs and cash were also found in a vehicle Police officers discovered a cannister of tear gas, weapons and drugs after they pulled over a car on a suburban Nottingham street. Firearms officers stopped the vehicle in Magdala Road, Mapperley Park, shortly before 3pm on Thursday (March 19) and initially found a large amount of cocaine and a knife. A property in Hucknall Road was later searched by police officers, where they found a large amount of cash and two further blades. Two men, aged 35 and 54, were arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of a class A drug. The younger man was also arrested on suspicion of a firearms offence after the canister of suspected laughing gas - officially called CS gas - was found during the search. Detective Inspector Paul Shortt, of the force, said: "Thanks to this very swift and professional stop by our AFOs, we were able to recover a significant quantity of drugs and take several dangerous weapons out of circulation."
