KNU Mutraw released news stating that during the battles to capture the Kaw Thway Kyoe and Ka Baw Tu camps, 49 soldiers, including one officer at the rank of battalion commander, were killed. Five revolutionary comrades were killed and 33 were injured during the fighting.

It is reported that because the military suffered heavy losses during the battle, they used fighter jets to carry out at least five airstrikes, which killed 6 civilians and injured 21 local residents. Over 40 civilian homes were destroyed by fire.
