On 18 May 2021, in U Ra Bum and its surroundings in Bhamo township (Bhamo district, Kachin State), the Myanmar military used fighter jets to drop four bombs on KIA's 1st battalion. Two more fighter jets came and dropped three more bombs on U Ra Bum ten minutes later. Casualties unknown.
