On 13 March 2026, in Hpa Lu Lay village (Myawaddy township, Myawaddy district, Kayin state), the Myanmar military fired heavy weapons to Casino and scam center compound around 9:00 am. While the Democratic Voice of Burma reported that the heavy weapon killed 3 Chinese civilians and injured 10 people including two members of Democratic Karen Benevolent Army (DKBA), the Irrawaddy reported unspecific fatalities, the Khit Thit Media reported 12 injuries including the Chinese civilians and DKBA members, and the Karen Information Center News reported at least 10 injuries. Fatalities coded as 0, using the lowest estimate.
