On 13 March 2026, Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) personnel conducted an intelligence-based operation targeting unidentified militants (coded as TTP) in Shagai area within the limits of Serai Gambila police station (Lakki Marwat, KPK). Militants opened fire on approaching forces, triggering a gun battle during which six militants were killed. Weapons including four Kalashnikov rifles, two pistols, hand grenades, and improvised explosive devices were recovered. Total 6 fatalities.
