The Finnish Air Force has identified one of the objects that violated the country's airspace on Sunday afternoon, a Ukrainian An-196 "Feb".

This, as "European Truth" writes, is stated on the website of the Finnish Air Force.

The military reportedly tracked the targets at around 8:13 a.m. Sunday. However, they did not deploy air defenses against the aircraft to avoid collateral damage.

One of the drones was identified as a Ukrainian An-196 "Lyuty" drone. It crashed south of the town of Kouvola.

Police surrounded the area where the UAV crashed.

Some of the objects seen during the surveillance were visually identified as flocks of birds. According to current confirmed observations, another drone has fallen to the ground.

The Air Force, in cooperation with the defense branches and other authorities, will continue to monitor the situation and maintain appropriate readiness, the department added.

It was previously reported that several drones violated the airspace in southeastern Finland on Sunday, March 29. The Ministry of Defense reported that two drones fell near the city of Kouvola, which is located approximately 50 kilometers from the border with Russia.

Finnish Prime Minister Petteri Orpo later said that the drones that fell on Finnish territory on Sunday afternoon were likely Ukrainian . He noted that Ukraine had attacked Russian targets in Russia's Leningrad Oblast, which borders Finland.

During Ukraine's latest series of strikes on Russian ports around St. Petersburg, several drones "strayed" into the territory of the Baltic states, two crashed in Latvia and Estonia .
