Police are investigating a crime after an explosion occurred in Taxinge in Nykvarn. The alarm was received at 8:38 p.m. on Saturday evening.

– Something has exploded and we don't know what it is, says police spokesman Daniel Wikdahl.

The police have taken one person into custody.

– One person is under control, but it is not clear whether the person has anything to do with this or not, says Daniel Wikdahl.

There has been minor damage to a building – probably a residential building.

A preliminary investigation has been initiated and the incident is being investigated as public destruction and a violation of the Act on Flammable and Explosive Goods.

No one was reported injured.
