A 53-year-old man lost his left leg after stepping on a landmine in Taungup Township, southern Rakhine State, early Tuesday morning.

The victim, identified as U San Win from Seikkan Thit Village, was reportedly working as a fishery security guard near Do Taung when the blast occurred around 3:00 a.m.
