An internally displaced person lost one of his legs after stepping on a landmine in Thandwe township of Rakhine State.

The victim is identified as U Kyaw Min Tun hailing from Maung Shwe Lay village and taking shelter at Maw Yon village under Thandwe township.

He incidentally stepped on a mine while cutting firewood on a hill at around 7 am on 18 March.
