A military convoy traveling back and forth between Myeik and Tanintharyi in Tanintharyi Region was attacked twice with landmines and gunfire, resulting in about 30 soldiers killed and two vehicles destroyed, an official from the People's Liberation Army (PLA) told Khit Thit Media.

At approximately 10:00 AM yesterday, March 20, the People's Liberation Army (PLA) and allied forces carried out a landmine attack on two military vehicles heading from Myeik toward Tanintharyi. In the evening, a convoy of seven military vehicles returning from Tanintharyi toward Myeik was attacked again with landmines and small arms, leading to an exchange of fire that lasted about 30 minutes.
