Fighting remains intense in Thayetchaung Township, Tanintharyi Region, where the terrorist military has dropped over 100 bombs from aircraft starting this morning, a local military source told Khit Thit Media.

Beginning around 9:00 AM today, March 20, fierce clashes erupted between revolutionary forces and a military column pinned down near Gon Nyin Seik Village. The military reportedly used a Y-12 transport plane to drop more than 100 bombs during the engagement.

The trapped military column is estimated to have only about 80 troops remaining as revolutionary forces continue to surround and attack them. Although the military has been providing daily air and naval fire support in an attempt to extract the stranded unit, the column has been unable to advance.
