The Romanian Ministry of Defense reported that on the night of Thursday, March 26, a Russian drone crashed in the country's territory, which had previously been shot down by a Ukrainian air defense system.

Details : According to the Romanian Defense Ministry, Russian troops used drones to attack civilian objects and infrastructure in Ukraine, near the river border with Romania.

Two F-16 aircraft took off to monitor the air situation.

"At 00:44, the drone, shot down by Ukrainian air defense, entered national airspace at a distance of approximately 4 kilometers. The drone crashed 2 km from the city of Parchesi, outside the settlement," the Romanian Ministry of Defense noted.

An IGSU fire truck and Ministry of National Defense crews were dispatched to the scene, where they discovered an area of ​​scorched vegetation and the remains of a drone.

No material damage or casualties were reported.
