Rocket event in Magway Region, Pakokku area, Myanmar on Wed 18th March 2026

Revolutionary forces used rockets and drones to launch consecutive attacks on Pyusawthi villages in Pakokku Township, Magway Region, as well as important Military Council offices and checkpoints in Dawei, Tanintharyi Region, potentially causing casualties on the Military Council side, according to revolutionary groups.

Revolutionary forces fired 10 rockets at the Shin Ma Kan and West Ma Gyi Kan Pyusawthi villages in Pakokku Township, Magway Region, where military forces are stationed, on March 17 and 18.

On the morning of March 17, three rockets were fired at the Pyusawthi camp in Shin Ma Kan village, followed by four more in the evening. The rockets exploded within the camp, causing fires and resulting in injuries.

Additionally, on the afternoon of March 18, three more rockets were launched after receiving intelligence that a meeting was to be held in West Ma Gyi Kan Pyusawthi village.
