On March 16, around 12:15 PM, four jet fighters originating from Taungoo Air Force Base, Hmawbi Air Force Base, and Mingaladon Air Force Base bombed and strafed gold mining operations in northern Bilin Township with machine guns. While many civilians were reportedly injured in the airstrike, the exact number has not yet been confirmed. Currently, all gold mining workers have fled to safer areas due to fears of further aerial attacks by the military.
