Unknown event in Mandalay Region, Taungtha area, Myanmar on Thu 12th March 2026

An interceptive attack on a terrorist military column heading toward Aye Village in Taungtha Township, Mandalay Region, resulted in the deaths of 3 soldiers, an information officer from the Popa Guerrilla Force told Khit Thit Media. On the evening of March 12, the Popa Guerrilla Force intercepted a convoy of 4 Faw trucks carrying approximately 150 soldiers near Aye Village on the Kyaukpadaung-Myingyan road section, specifically at a location on the Kyaukpadaung-Welaung road. The clash lasted about 20 minutes, leaving 3 terrorist soldiers dead on the spot and many others wounded. Revolutionary comrades were forced to retreat when two additional Faw trucks with reinforcements arrived at the scene.
