On March 23, a violent clash occurred between Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) and Jamaat-e-Islami (JeI), centred on suspicion of fake vote casting during the last national election, which led to widespread vandalism, looting, and the injury of at least 10 people in Talatola Kurbir Char and Darbesh Khan Kandi localities of Rajnagar Union in Naria Upazila (Sub-District) of Shariatpur District, reports bdnews24.com. While the local BNP unit acknowledges the clash, JeI has denied involvement. According to Police, the attackers detonated several crude bombs, looted gold ornaments, cash, and livestock.
