On March 21, Punjab Police’s Counter Intelligence wing, in coordination with the Border Security Force (BSF), recovered 6.5 kilograms of heroin from agricultural fields near Mahatam Nagar village in Fazilka District, reports The Tribune. Unidentified smugglers allegedly attempted to push the consignment from Pakistan but retreated after BSF personnel fired warning shots. Further investigation is underway to identify the smugglers.
