On March 19, a cadre of the National Socialist Council of Nagaland-Khango-Yung Aung (NSCN-K-YA) was arrested during a joint operation by the Assam Police and Assam Rifles near the Lahdoigarh iron bridge in Charaideo District along the Assam–Nagaland border, reports The Times of India. The arrested militant was identified as ‘sergeant major’ Wangpoi Konyak (25). Security Forces (SFs) recovered two pistols, 57 rounds of live ammunition, three detonators, one packet of PEK (an RDX-based plastic explosive), and 26 walkie-talkie sets from his possession
