On March 19, suspected Kuki militants abducted the wife of a Naga village chief after attacking his residence in Ravalan village in Chandel District of Manipur, reports Northeast Now. Around five Kuki militants reportedly entered the residence of village chief Sumpi Ngramrung and opened fire when he attempted to resist. While the chief managed to escape the attack, the militants forcibly abducted his wife and fled in a vehicle towards the Sajik Tampak area.
