Unidentified armed men, suspected to be Baloch insurgents reportedly carried out a prolonged blockade on the highway between Barkhan and Rakni in Kohlu District of Balochistan, carrying out snap checks on passing vehicles for several hours on March 18, reports Zrumbesh. Eyewitnesses said the attackers stopped vehicles, conducted searches, and caused significant disruption to traffic. When two vehicles failed to stop, the armed men opened fire. No casualties have been confirmed so far. During the incident, several Police personnel were reportedly detained and their weapons were seized by the assailants. No group has claimed responsibility for the attack so far.
