A terrorist attack was repelled by Police on the Fatah Khel check post in Bannu District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on early morning of March 16, reports The Express Tribune. Police said the attack was thwarted due to the alertness and timely response of personnel stationed at the post. Police personnel at the post marked suspicious movement of more than 15 terrorists around the Fatah Khel check post through thermal cameras. The terrorists were attempting to take positions in a forested area in front of the post. Police personnel opened fire, forcing the terrorists to retreat under the cover of darkness.
