On March 15, Security Forces (SFs) killed a Pakistani terrorist during a joint operation conducted by the Indian Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police (JKP) in the Buchhar area of the Uri sector in Baramulla District in Jammu and Kashmir (J&K), reports The Times of India. The operation was launched during the intervening night of March 14–15, 2026, following specific intelligence inputs from JKP regarding a possible infiltration attempt along the Line of Control (LoC). According to the Army, troops observed suspicious movement in the area and engaged the infiltrator during the operation.
