Mortar Bomb event in Manipur, Old Nabil, Churachandpur District area, India on Sat 14th March 2026

On March 14, Security Forces (SFs) recovered a cache of arms and explosives from Old Nabil, east of Thangjing Top, under Henglep Police Station limits in Churachandpur District of Manipur, reports Manipur Police on X. The recovered items included one country-made rocket approximately seven feet long containing around 60 kilograms of explosives, one country-made single-barrel firearm, seven 7.62 mm empty cases, four magazines, one mortar bomb and one improvised mortar/pumpi. The recovery was made during search operations conducted in the area amid prevailing security concerns. Further investigation was underway at the time of reporting.
