On 12 March 2026, Pakistani military forces carried out airstrikes in Paktia province (coded to Gardez), bordering Pakistan's Kurram area (KPK). Pakistan claimed that they targeted 'terrorism-affiliated facilities and infrastructure, including bases and logistical camps in Paktia, Kabul, Kandahar, and Paktika provinces' (coded separately). There were no casualties.
