On 12 March 2026, Pakistani military forces carried out airstrikes near Kandahar airport in Kandahar city, targeting a fuel storage facility belonging to Kam Air (an Afghan private airline). The Taliban claimed that this facility supplied fuel for civilian flights and United Nations aircraft. However, Pakistan claimed that they targeted 'terrorism-affiliated facilities and infrastructure, including bases and logistical camps in Kabul, Kandahar, Paktia, and Paktika provinces' (coded separately). There were no casualties.
